Red Cabbage

About Red Cabbage – Red Cabbage, also called Purple Cabbage, is an incredibly versatile vegetable that can be eaten raw, cooked, and fermented.

Red Cabbage Storage – Leave outside leaves and do not wash prior to refrigerating whole cabbage heads. For best storage put in the vegetable crisper. Whole cabbage heads can last 3-4 weeks in the refrigerator.  If cabbage is cut wrap tightly in plastic.  Once cut and wrapped cabbage can last 2-3 days.  It’s time to toss once the leaves start to wilt or starts to smell bad.
