Store Pears in a cool place, such as your refrigerator crisper drawer with the vent open to release ethylene gas. If storing on the counter be sure to consume within a week. Pears can absorb gases of other surrounding items which can lead to early spoilage. Avoid storing your Pears near onion or potatoes in the fridge, and bananas on the counter.
